Well, my mother’s friends expressed sympathy, one asked if I was gay (she’d known me since I was 15!), and people were trying to ‘fix me up’ right and left. Love that phrase starting with ‘fix’ - not ‘broken’ folks, go away, me and my cats are perfectly happy!

As I was reading this though, I couldn’t help but think that the random ads for dating sites are BASICALLY politically correct dick pics, approved by google, to ensure that you know where to find the sex, should you become overwhelmed by the need for it.
