Here's Something To Put The Boo Hoo Into Your Night...
Somebody needs to help these good, good bois.
Bitchfaces. Y’all. Sloppy hos in the back row, it’s y’all lucky night. We’re talking dirty dogs and the like, so y’all should be feeling right at home.
First, let me go ahead and knock this out of the way. I guarantee y’all I’m bound to un-PC something in this column. The reason? I couldn’t give a fuck about being politically correct, and that’s every day, not just on days I’m talking native reservations.
However, bear in mind I’m giving it my actual best version of non-offensive, so if that’s not good enough, see me after the column. I’ve got a whole, supercute ass that you can kiss.
I digress.
So, the day before yesterday, I happened upon a reel that had me sitting around crying like a bitch, and then I got mad, because I hate crying like a bitch. The reel was of the stray dogs on the native reservations in Colorado, and when I tell you that it wasn’t a good scene, please read between the lines and know that it was downright horrific.
I have a mother who is a large percent native, but at no time ever in my life did I think about the pets and strays living on reservations, because the thought had not once crossed my mind. If you’ve been on a reservation, you have seen the level of poverty we’re speaking of, and animal health and welfare services are basically fucking non-existent.
It’s not a place you want to go and kick it if you are like me and believe it’s up to you to rescue all of the dogs, ever. You will leave there most likely bitten and rabid, and there’s a good chance some sort of skinwalker is gonna follow you home also.
None of that is a picnic.
There are some charitable organizations that help with spay/neuter clinics, fostering, and adoption with the rescued strays and surrendered reservation dogs, and I have no particular affiliation with any of them, but have done some research on them in the past few days. If any one of you is familiar with one of the outfits handling these dogs, please let me know. I would love to speak highly of them and randomly toss their name around.
One I found that looks legit and seems to be making some headway is here. Soul Dog has been around some years and looks to be kicking a dent in this sad shit, so have a look and see if you might be able to do something to help them help these dogs.
There is nothing worse that casually observing poverty so intense it is fucking tangible, and I have visited a few reservations, always leaving feeling like that’s the best way to describe them. No offense at all meant to the residents, but it’s never been a situation where I wanted to go back and revisit.
I grew up poor. I ain’t fucking going back.
That is not the fault of these dogs, though, at all. And the conditions these dogs were in on the boo hoo ass crying video I saw were downright fucking horrendous. Take a look for yourself, if you want to ruin your whole fucking day.
If not, feel free to use the link above to skip the bullshit and go help some dogs. Or get at me with the organization you’re familiar with that helps these goodest bois, and I’ll be all about showing them some love. Either way, these dogs don’t deserve that shit. They didn’t ask for that shit, and they really could probably use a best friend to help them out.
That’s you. Go be a fucking best friend. Duh.

Nonprofit organization in Utah focused on helping the 250,000 stray companion animals nearby.
I'm sure there are others, but this isn't really on my radar being an east coaster. I've heard about the neglect and lack of resources, I just don't need more images in my head. There is a horrendous amount of suffering in so many areas. We seem to be failing animals just as we are falling ourselves. We should be crying.
